Pete LeClaire’s “Winged Defender” came home from the Thunder in the Rockies Show with the prestigious title of BEST PAINT!! Judged against 99 other entrants, this beauty received the highest honor. BIG CONGRATULATIONS go to Pete and to Mike for the collaborative masterpiece.
Since the swirl bucket is out and just kinda sitting there in the middle of the shop, Mike decided to swirl up some other stuff, his newest toy was among the victims. I give you. . . Camo Swirl!!
This is a quick job that came in as an “emergency” project last week. They were very lucky that Mike was working on prep for the BIG job on the bench and was able to push it through. This is a birthday present for the boss.
Here is another painted Gun Stock. This was an old Chinese SKS Paratrooper that now looks modern and brand new! Mike continues to play with his camo patterns and the Soft Touch clear is fast becoming a favorite of gun owners who feel it.
Here is an example of some of the custom gun stocks that Mike has been making. He improves the comfort and versatility of the grip by changing its shape. The custom paint on this one is Mike’s new “Make My Day” Camo.
This is one of the last bikes that Mike painted in Arizona. It has long been one of my favorite paint jobs as well. Just today the owner/builder sent me some shots of the completed bike, so I though I would share them with you. Check out that LED taillight!!@
This is a project that Mike worked on with Sun Harlely Davidson. It is a 2 tone bagger with graphics, gold leaf pinstripes and regular pinstriping. Clint from Sun did the LED Taillights and Turn Signals using Mike’s method from his DVD. We do not have completed pictures yet, but here are a few shots of the process:
